Jaisalmer: In Nachana area of border districtJaisalmer, a 25-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide by drowning herself in a water tankbuilt in her own field. Nachana police reached the spot and took out the body after three hours. Family members of the woman filed a case against the in-laws, accusing them of dowry harassment. On the complaint of the deceased’s brother, a case of dowry death was registered against her sister-in-law and mother-in-law, police said.
After postmortem conducted by the medical board, police handed over the body to family members on Sunday. Nachana circle officer (CO) deputy SP Ali Mohammad is investigating the case. tnn
