Woman Held For Killing Infant Granddaughter | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A 60-year-old woman, with the help of her relative, allegedly killed her 10-month-old granddaughter by throwing her in a water tank in Chittorgarh. Nikumbh police station house officer (SHO) Yashwant Solanki said that Leela Devi and her relative Arjun Lal were arersted on Tuesday for the crime.
“The incident took place on October 29 when the child’s body was found in a water tank. The woman’s statements were highly suspicious. She initially claimed that she did not want to make a complaint in the case. Then she and her relative tried to mislead the cops,” Solanki said.
Police found out the woman wanted a boy instead of a girl and that was why she had killed her granddaughter. “The killed child’s father works in Dubai as a cook. He has three daughters. His mother did not want another granddaughter,” said Solanki.
