Woman: Woman Hacked To Death In Kota, Accused Detained |

Kota: A 35-year-old man from Bhoi Mohalla in Kota hacked his neighbour to death on Friday afternoon as he suspected her to be involved in his sister’s elopement four months ago. The incident occurred when the woman was returning home after her work as a housemaid.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Kumawat (35), also a resident of Bhoi Mohalla, under Gumanpura police station. The accused was identified as Veeru Bhoi. The police detained the accused and placed the body in mortuary for post-mortem.
The incident occurred around 4pm on Friday when Kamlesh was returning home. Veeru was lying in wait for her, and as Kamlesh came close he took out a knife and attacked her repeatedly. She fell to the ground, bleeding profusely.
According to eyewitnesses, the accused waved the knife for a while after the crime and fled from the spot, however, he was detained later.
The woman was rushed to a private hospital, where she was declared brought dead, the DSP Bhawani Singh said.
Veeru’s sister had run away with a man around four months ago and he believed that Kamlesh was involved in this incident. He was looking for an opportunity to seek revenge. TNN
