Jaipur: The Bhilwara police took custody of the body of a 33-year-old woman after she was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances and had been placed on a pyre for her final rites.
Police said the incident occurred on Friday when they received a call informing them that Mamta Devi was about to be cremated by her husband, Prabhu. The husband has been booked for murder. He had initially claimed she was bitten by a snake. TNN
