Jaipur: Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC)-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar inaugurated a creche at the municipal corporation headquarters for working women on Tuesday. She said that the creche can be used by working mothers of the civic body and other nearby residents who want a proper place to leave their children while they are at work.
“Motherhood should not become a hindrance for working women and they should be able to perform their responsibilities at the workplace well. For this, a Panna Dhay crèche with all facilities including CCTV has been started at JMC-G office. Children aged between six-months to six-years can stay here from 9 am till 6:30 pm,” said the mayor.
Officials said a fee of Rs 2,000 per month will be charged for children of officers and employees of JMC-Greater, Rs 3,200 for children of government officers and employees, and Rs 4,000 for children of non-government persons.

In August, 2 women & children were victims of crimes daily
According to the victim assistance unit (VAU) of the Goa state government, there has been a rise in crimes against women and children. In August alone, an average of two women and children were victims of crimes daily, with sexual abuse cases being the highest proportion.
