World Cup: Govt Staff Take Out Vehicle Rallies Wearing Black Clothes | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Under the banner of All Rajasthan State Employees Joint Federation, thousands of employees took out ‘Akrosh’ vehicle rallies wearing black clothes at all district headquarters to protest against the state government’s delay in fulfilling their demands.
President of the federation, Mahaveer Sharma, said that the 15-point demand letter of the federation was pending with the government for the past four years and no positive decision had been taken by the government on even one of the demands.
He said the employees would next stage a demonstration at the city’s Saheed Smarak on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) wearing black clothes and terming it as a “black day”.
The demands of the employees include removal of anomalies in their salary structure so that the minimum salary is Rs 26,000; introduction of four selection grades in promotions (after 8, 16, 24, and 32 years) instead of three (after 9, 18, and 27 years); implementation of a transparent transfer policy; and a rural allowance for employees working in rural areas.
Other demands include withdrawal of contractual rules, 2022, issued for recruitment of contractual employees on regular posts; regularisation of contractual/temporary employees; salaries and allowances to be on par with those of secretariat employees; and withdrawal of the ‘No Work No Pay’ order issued by the government.
