In state capital Jaipur, rainfall of 542.8 mm was recorded from June to September as compared to 524.3 mm recorded during the same period in 2022.
Sharing monthly-wise data of the monsoon, a Met officer said, “In June this year a rainfall of 156.9 mm was recorded, mainly due to cyclone Biparjoy, and was followed by 228.4 mm recorded in the month of July, 30.9 mm in August, and 83.4 mm in September.”
Cyclone Biparjoy caused the highest-ever rainfall recorded in Rajasthan in the month of June, the officer said. “In the month of June usually negligible rainfall takes place as the monsoon enters only in the last week of June. However, this year due to Biparjoy, rainfall of 156.9 mm was recorded, which is the highest-ever rainfall recorded by us,” said the officer.
