World Cup: Suspended Sho Booked For Gangrape, On The Run | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A suspended station house officer (SHO) of Deeg district, who featured in photos showing intimate activities with a woman, was booked in a gangrape case. The sources in Deeg police said that the 35-year-old woman with the help of her relatives on Thursday filed an FIR against Kamruddin Khan, who was suspended from Kaithwara police station on Monday after objectionable photos were leaked online.
The police said that the FIR was registered against eight accused including Khan under multiple IPC Sections including 376D (gang rape). “There is no information regarding his (Khan’s) current whereabouts, which raises the possibility that he may have gone underground in anticipation of the fallout from the leaks,” added a police official. The official mentioned that other accused in the case include the alleged middleman who took the woman to Khan. Police had launched a departmental inquiry against Khan following his suspension. Officials said that they took swift action by suspending Khan because they believed that such images tarnished the reputation of Rajasthan police. “We have registered an FIR and are investigating the allegations made by woman. Efforts are also being made to ascertain involvement of other accused,” the official added. tnn
