World Cup: Temple Guard Attacked In Bani Park, Dies During Treatment | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A security guard at Shri Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple, located in Bani Park area, lost his life on Monday morning following a brutal stabbing attack on Sunday night.
The victim, identified as Sunil Singh Thakur (40), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, fell prey to unknown assailants at approximately 8:30pm last night.
While talking to the media, circle inspector Mahesh Chand said, “Following the completion of a postmortem examination by the medical board, the body has been released to the family. The deceased exhibited cut marks on both his body and neck. In light of the incident, we are thoroughly reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity, and several individuals have been detained for questioning.”
Police have also initiated a search for the missing mobile phone of the deceased. Currently, the motive behind this murder remains unclear.
Furthermore, police summoned the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to the scene to gather crucial evidence, given the presence of blood on the floor of the temple. Ward 37 councillor Ravi Prakash Saini recounted that the victim was seated within the premises of Shri Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple around 8:30 PM when unidentified individuals launched attacked him with knives. However, grievously injured Singh managed to make it to the road, where he informed passersby about the assault and urgently requested transportation to the hospital.
Councillor Saini said, “Concerned citizens rushed Sunil to Satellite Hospital, from where he was transferred to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, Sunil succumbed to his injuries during treatment at 7:30am on Monday.”
Following his demise, a large crowd gathered at the scene, demanding the immediate arrest of the unknown assailants. Upon receiving news of the incident, former minister Arun Chaturvedi also reached at the location and demanded arrest of the culprits.
The MLA threatened to stage a massive protest if arrests were not made in the case.
