₹6.50l Seized From Smuggler’s House | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: The police on Tuesday recovered Rs 6.50 lakh from the house of a smuggler who was arrested a day earlier.
Police on Monday had seized 9kg heroin worth Rs 35 crore in Jaisalmer and arrested four smugglers—Amar Lal Bhadu, Ramchandra Bishnoi, Jogendra Singh and Madhav Singh.
They were produced in the court which sent them to police remand till April 15.
This consignment was smuggled from Barmer border around 5-6 months ago by a notorious smuggler of Barmer, who is absconding, and sent to Jaisalmer, said officials. Additional SP Narottam Verma said that Ra 6.50 lakh was found from the house of Jogendra Singh.
He got the money from selling heroin to two smugglers of Ganganagar, Suratgarh.
The heroin was sold for Rs 5 lakh per kg.
“The recovered heroin was sent by wanted smuggler Bhuta Singh of Gadra road police station to Jaisalmer. Bhuta Singh has been absconding for quite a long time,” Verma added.
Singh had sent 23kg heroin to Jaisalmer, out of which the crime branch recovered 9kg, the officials said.
