11 Persons Detained For Pelting Stones At Bike Rally | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Police have detained 11 persons for hurling stones at a bike rally taken out by Hindu Ranbheri in Jaipur Rural on Sunday. Officials said on Monday that miscreants pelted the bike rally with stones and police deployed for the security of the rally failed to control the situation. A large police force was called in and the miscreants were chased away. Police have detained 11 youths for the stone-pelting, officials said.
The incident happened in Tala village of Raisar area of Jamvaramgarh when the rally was being taken out on the occasion of Hindu new year. Police have been deployed in the area and the situation is under control, officials said.
The bike rally started from Khel Maidan Chandwaji at about 10.15am and passed through different areas. At about 3pm, some miscreants hurled stones at it near Tala Johra under Raiser police station. A case was registered at Raiser police station on behalf of Sadhuram Jat who was present in the rally.
The Rajasthan BJP protested the incident, with MLA and party spokesperson Ramlal Sharma attacking the Congress government’s “appeasement politics”.
“There was a sudden attack on the saffron rally by people of a particular community, after which the police arrested 11 people. Of those 11 people, there are many who are not residents of the village or even of nearby villages. This indicates that the attack was planned by the people of the particular community. BJP demands action as this is not the first such incident in Rajasthan,” he said. ians
