3 Jmc-g Officials Suspended For Cleanliness Laxity | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Taking strict action on lack of cleanliness in the city, the commissioner of JMC-Greater suspended three health inspectors for negligence as dirt was found accumulated in different areas during a surprise inspection on Wednesday.
The commissioner spent three hours in Sanganer, Malviya Nagar and Jagatpura zones inspecting issues like cleanliness of sewerage, stormwater drains and general cleanliness. He instructed officials that all issues must be resolved at the earliest, else strict action will be taken against officials. The commissioner has sought explanation from the deputy commissioner of Sanganer zone for negligence in cleanliness. The health inspectors of these zones have been suspended, said officials.
During the inspection, the commissioner found piles of garbage at ward number 103 of Sanganer zone, ward number 150 of Malviya Nagar zone and ward number 106 of Jagatpura zone. He covered a stretch from Sanganer police station on Tonk Road till the JECRC Campus.
After the ground inspection, the commissioner also met with executive engineers of the zone to discuss disposal of sewer related complaints and instructed that they should be solved at the zone level.
“Work cannot be delayed now and strictness will have to be adopted now so that residents do not face any problems. The disposal of sewer related complaints and cleanliness should be taken on priority and the pending complaints of door-to-door garbage collection should be disposed of at the earliest. A special campaign on sewer cleaning at the zone level for disposal of complaints received at the call centre must also be started and ensure that all the complaints are resolved by the end of the week,” said Soni.
He instructed that concerned officers of the zone should go to the field and ensure that the complaints related to sewer cleaning are resolved. Vishram Meena, newly appointed commissioner of JMC-Heritage, took charge on Wednesday from outgoing commissioner Awadhesh Meena.
After assuming charge, he said, “Priority would be for everyone to work together in maintaining the cleanliness of the city. With the cooperation of all the officers and councillors, development works under JMC-Heritage would be carried forward. I will also see how the demands of councillors can be fulfilled along with doing better work in the area for cleanliness.”
