40 Kawariyas Injured In Accident In Dausa | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: At least 40 kawariyas (pilgrims) were injured in a head-on collision between two trucks near Mehandipur Balaji in Dausa district of the state during intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday.
They were returning from Puskhar and were going to Gazipar when the accident took place. “A rashly driven truck collided head on with the truck in which the pilgrims were travelling. A large number of villagers came to the spot and bailed out the trapped pilgrims,” said a police officer. Soon after the incident senior officers of the Manpur police station and other police stations reached the spot and cleared the traffic. “Initially after the accident a long jam was witnessed on the national highway near Mehandipur Balaji. Police brought cranes and other equipment to clear the traffic,” the officer added. tnn
