JAIPUR: After brokering peace in poll-bound Chhattisgarh by making TS Singh Deo the deputy chief minister, the Congress high command is now working on resolving the ongoing Gehlot-Pilot tussle in view of forthcoming assembly polls in Rajasthan.
There was hectic activity in the Pilot camp on Friday. Pilot called on AICC in-charge for Punjab Harish Chaudhary at his residence in Jaipur on his return from Delhi. Pilot also met senior congress leaders from his camp Deependra Singh Shekhawat, and Brijendra Ola among others.
Congress MLA Indraj Singh Gurjar tweeted “Good news is coming very soon, guys be patient.”
Sources said that the party leaders have found a formula to accommodate Pilot. Under the first formula, it is being discussed that Pilot could be inducted into the highest decision making body, CWC as a member. He will be given an important role in state politics as well like the head of the Assembly poll campaign committee so that he continues to influence state politics. The source indicated that there is no chance of a change in the PCC president as the present incumbent Dotasra has been assigned more roles to strengthen the party at the grassroots.
