Jaipur: A six-year-old girl in Shastri Nagar area sustained multiple injuries on her face after a pig attacked her.
The incident came to light when police spotted a commotion on the street. Police spoke to locals and informed them that a pig had attacked a girl.
She was taken to a hospital where doctors stitched her wounds. “We arrested the owner of the pig, identified as one Vikas alias Vicky,” said an official.
The incident took place when the girl had gone to buy chocolate with her brother on Wednesday. She was returning home when the pig attacked her.
Police said the accused rears pigs and had let one go out which attacked the girl.
The girl’s father works at a saree shop in the area.
“The girl suffered multiple injuries. Doctors said that her condition is stable,” the official further added.
Cops said this was probably the first time in Shastri Nagar that an incident of a pig attacking a kid had come to their notice.
