Mental Health Authority: Govt Forms Mental Health Authority In State As Per Act | Jaipur News

Jaipur: For the care of mental disorder patients, State Mental Health Authority has been constituted in the state in accordance with the Mental Health Care Act-2017 and the State Mental Health Authority Rules-2018. In this regard, a gazette notification has also been issued.
Additional chief secretary (health) Shubhra Singh said state mental health treatment related rules and by-laws will be made soon by organising a meeting of the Mental Health Authority. Along with this, mental health boards will also be constituted. She said that the rules related to the rights of mental health patients will also be decided in the meeting.
In the Mental Health Authority, additional chief secretary (health) has been designated as chairman, Mission Director National Health Mission as chief executive officer and director-public health as member secretary. Apart from these, there will be ex-officio and non-official members in this authority. TNN
