Rape: Drug Addict Held In Barmer For Trying To Rape Seven-yr-old Girl | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: A man, suspected to be a drug addict, was arrested by police in Barmer on Wednesday following the complaint of a seven-year-old girl’s father that the man stuffed a cloth into the girl’s mouth and tried to rape her.
According to the report, filed by the girl’s father at Dhorimanna police station, on Wednesday morning his daughter had gone to fetch milk from a dairy, where a man named Thakararam took her inside and started molesting her.
The girl screamed when he tried to rape her after stuffing a cloth into her mouth.
People nearby heard the girls’s screams and rescued her.
Head constable Kanu Khan said that the accused fled from the scene but police later nabbed him. The man seems to be a drug addict, he said.
Dhorimanna SHO Sukhram Vishnoi said that a case has been registered under IPC sections and POCSO Act.
