Probe: Phed Bribe Case: Acb To Probe How Jain Got 160 Books | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) investigating the bribery case of PHED will investigate how contractor Padam Chand Jain possesed 160 measurement books (MB) of at least five districts that are government files. On Thursday Jain and other accused were produced in the court where ACB demanded 4-day police remand of Jain but was granted only one-day by the court. Now ACB will interrogate him to find out how he got access to these important files at his office.

On Sunday ACB had arrested five people including two PHED officers in a Rs 2.20 graft case.
TOI on Thursday spoke to the senior ACB officers to know what are the things they are looking forward to in this investigation.

“We had seized 160 measurement books from the possession of Jain and surprisingly these are government documents and he can’t possess them. How did he get hold of these files that had measurements of various areas of at least five districts around Jaipur,” said Hemant Priyadarshi, ACB’s officiating DG. TNN
