Unemployed: ‘will Continue Fast Till Our Demands Met’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: State president of Rajasthan Unemployed Ekikrit Mahasangh, Upen Yadav, who had been observing fasting since August 12 protesting delay in the appointment of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board chairperson and members of the board, said he would continue his fast till their demands are fulfilled.

Yadav fell ill on Tuesday night and had to be put on drip. Unemployed youths staged a demonstration outside RSSB headquarters on Wednesday morning over the delay in fulfilling their demands by the government. They submitted a memorandum to Hari Prasad Sharma, who resigned as the chairman last month. However, his resignation has not been accepted by the state government yet. “If demands of unemployed youths are not met, then a large number of protestors will gherao the staff selection board on August 25,” said Yadav. “The appointment of the chairman of RSSB should be done immediately to avoid any obstacles to the recruitment process,” he added.
