Income Rise: Happiness Index Must Rise Along With Income, Says Cm | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said along with the per capita income, the happiness index should also increase in the state. Gehlot said, to ensure this a vision document is being prepared by the state government under Mission-2030.
“Through this, it is our resolve to make Rajasthan the leading state of the country by the year 2030. There is a passion for development among people of the state and till now about 2.50 crore people have given their suggestions for it. This vision document will be released on October 5,” said Gehlot.
Gehlot was addressing an interaction programme with the stakeholders related to the tourism sector organized at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Sunday. On this occasion, the chief minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 25 projects amounting to Rs 110 crore of the tourism and art, literature and culture department, including inauguration of the first phase of the Rajasthan Heritage Museum.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has instructed the power department to replace faulty transformers on time to ensure uninterrupted power supply during festivals. Despite low rainfall and heat, the demand for electricity has increased significantly in August, along with a low supply of coal, causing a gap in electricity demand and supply. The government is making efforts to reduce power cuts and only impose them after prior information to consumers. Officials have been instructed to visit rural areas and take feedback from the public. Additional demand will be met through short-term tender and banking.

The BJP has accused the Congress party of failing to ensure women’s safety in Rajasthan and demanded that former party president Rahul Gandhi ask Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to resign. The BJP spokesperson cited several cases of crime against women in the state and claimed that law and order has been “completely destroyed” under Congress rule. The spokesperson also questioned the silence of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on these incidents and called for them to visit Rajasthan and address the issue.
