Quality Of Life: Pm, Raj Leaders Pay Tribute To Late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Vice President and Rajasthan chief minister, late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, on his 100th birth anniversary on Monday. Modi said that the country would always be grateful to him for his exemplary leadership.
Modi recalled, “I have countless memories of interacting with Bhairon Singh ji. This includes the times when I was working for the party organization and during the Ekta Yatra in the early 1990s. Whenever I met him, I would learn so much about issues like water conservation and poverty alleviation.”
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar along with Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra visited Singh’s memorial in Vidyadhar Nagar here on Monday to pay their tribute to the former V-P. Dhankhar also posted on social media: “Tribute to Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Ji on his birth centenary! Born into a farming family, Babosa dedicated his life to serving the people of the country and the state. He was a pioneer of farmer-friendly politics.”
Many senior leaders from across party lines, including chief minister Ashok Gehlot and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, paid their respects. CM Gehlot posted on his official X handle, “Respectful tribute to the important personality of Rajasthan politics, former Vice President and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Ji, on his 100th birth anniversary.”
Raje shared a video and fondly remembered Shekhawat, saying, “…We have always considered the people of Rajasthan our family. He taught us that.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has criticized Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, calling him a coward for filing a court case against his arrest in the alleged Sanjivani scam. Gehlot also accused Shekhawat of failing to declare the East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) as a national project. He further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not addressing the violence in Manipur and accused him of harassing state governments. Gehlot expressed confidence that the Congress party would regain power in the state.
