Mohammed Arif, president of Association of Garment Exporters of Sitapura said, “There is demand for workers in the industry and the intervention by ATDC will help the companies meet their manpower needs.”
Arif said that ATDC is holding the job fair after gap of 7-8 years and it should happen twice a year so that the industry’s manpower needs are met.
Singla said the candidates were well-represented by both male and female. As to the salary of the new recruits, Singla said, “It depends various depending on the experience of the candidate. But the minimum wages will be Rs 15,000 a month and it goes up from there,” he added.
According to industry estimates, the readymade garment exports are showing good traction and the demand is very high, requiring a greater number of hands.
