Roadways Starts Bus Service Between Jaipur And Mumbai | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Transport minister Brijendra Ola flagged off nine new air-conditioned sleeper-cum-chair car luxury buses on different routes including one between Jaipur-Mumbai on Thursday. The buses were flagged off from Sindhi Camp Central bus stand here.
The minister said looking at the demand, the department will continue the bus services. The bus to Mumbai will travel via Ajmer, Sirohi and Surat and tickets will be priced at Rs 2,048.
“We have started these new services where the best drivers and conductors of state roadways have been deployed. Earlier, there was a bus service between Jaipur-Mumbai, which had to be stopped due to less passengers, but we have started it again and hope that demand on this route will continue. The buses have been procured from the same company that we had had a deal with in 2016, and we have got the buses at the same price as decided then,” said the minister.
Officials said two new luxury buses will be operated between Jaipur-Delhi through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which will reduce the travel time by two hours.
New super luxury sleeper and seater buses were also introduced from Jaipur to Lucknow via Kanpur, Haridwar, Ahmedabad, Kota and Bikaner.
The minister said that the pending salaries of roadways employees would be cleared by March. Roadways employees have been protesting for several months demanding payment of their pending salaries and other financial benefits.
