Microsoft Start is company’s new personalised news service for mobile, web and Windows

Microsoft has introduced Microsoft Start, its own personalised news feed service that will be available on both mobile and web. In addition, it will also integrate to Microsoft services like Windows 11 via Widgets, Windows 10 via News and Interests experience on taskbar and Edge web browser in new tabs.
Microsoft Start in terms of functionality will be very similar to the existing MSN feed and Microsoft News which we currently see in new tabs and MSN homepage. The new Start feed is basically rebranding all those services into one with better integration with the company’s services and apps.

The Start feed will curate content from thousands of new publishers and websites customised to users’ taste and interests. The company has mentioned that they will be using the company’s latest advancements in AI and machine learning to customise the feed automatically as per user’s interaction. Also, there will be manual moderation available for users who want to customise the experience manually.
The company has also confirmed that the existing MSN and Microsoft News will be available irrespective of the new Microsoft Start launch. Also, it will feature popular tabs for different categories of news like sports, weather, traffic and money.
Microsoft Start is now available on mobile and web as well as Windows operating systems and can also be accessed via a standalone website — MicrosoftStart.com. It will be available in Windows 11 upon launch.
