Acb: ACB arrests 3 PWD engrs in city in 10 lakh bribery case | Jaipur News

The engineers were caught red-handed at the chief engineer’s residence in Jaipur. An official said that in exchange for not pursuing disciplinary action against executive engineer Jitendra Kumar Jain, posted in Dungarpur, chief engineer Subodh Kumar Malik demanded money. This bribe was facilitated through assistant engineer Anant Kumar Gupta, who was posted in Banswara.

According to sources, Jain and Gupta arrived in Jaipur by train at 7:30am, checked into a hotel in Polo Victory area, and then reached Malik’s home.
ACB teams are currently conducting searches at the homes of the three officers and other locations. ADG ACB Hemant Priyadarshi said, “We received information that a departmental notice was pending against PWD’s Jain. In exchange for not taking action on this notice, Malik was demanding a bribe of Rs 10 lakh. The transaction was scheduled for Wednesday morning. ACB teams were alerted about this.”
Under the supervision of ACB Jaipur, deputy inspector general Randhir Singh, the ACB headquarters’ team raided Malik’s residence at Shanti Nagar, Nirman Nagar, Jaipur. During the operation, ACB detained Jain at Malik’s residence. Jain resides in Adarsh Nagar. Assistant engineer Gupta, who was acting as a mediator, was apprehended for accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh.
