Acb: Acb Likely To Quiz Officers, Vendors In Doit Cash Haul Case | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) is digging deeper into the money haul case in which Rs 2.31 crore cash and 1 kg gold bar were found in the office almirah of a joint director of Department of Information and Technology (DoIT) Ved Prakash Yadav last week. Officers of the bureau investigating the case on Tuesday stated that if needed they will quiz every from senior officer of DoIT or even the companies and vendors who were supplying goods in the department.
Asked if ACB has sought permission from the chief minister to quiz Arora in this case, Hemant Priyadarshi, officiating director general, ACB, said, “We are investigating the case and can’t share the day-to-day progress. If anything concrete will come we will share. Who would be quizzed or not is the sole discretion of the investigating officer.”
“We have come across some of his property documents and other things. He is not cooperating in the investigations so far. We will see who else were responsible for the purchase and procurement at DoIT along with Yadav. Also, the companies and vendors who were found sending commission to the department will also be booked because as per new amendments giving bribe also comes under PC Act as crime,” said Lalit Sharma, additional SP, ACB who is investigating the case. Senior officers of ACB stated that Yadav is trying to give a slip to the investigating team in the interrogation. tnn
