ACB search yields Rs 40 lakh from pollution control officer’s home in Jaipur | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: ACB found Rs 40 lakh in cash and documents related to several properties during searches at the residence of a regional pollution control officer in Jaipur on Saturday.
ACB said that on Thursday they had recovered Rs1.60 lakh from Hansram Kasana in Bharatpur. The agency said they had specific information about an alleged disproportionate assets case and subsequently conducted searches at Kasana’s Malviya Nagar located house here.
The officials said that ACB had also unearthed alleged transactions worth Rs 6 crore during the search. Besides the cash and paper trail of Rs 6 crore of alleged transactions, ACB claimed to have found documents related to multiple properties including villas and plots. “An investigation into the case is underway. We suspected that the official who is currently posted in Bharatpur had allegedly amassed properties which were several times higher than his known sources of income,” an official said.
The ACB officials, as part of their investigation, will examine the net value of the recoveries made during the search from his house.
