Bhilwara gang rape and murder: Grieving man attempts to jump onto daughter’s pyre | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The father of a minor girl, who was gang-raped and murdered in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, fell to the ground after experiencing bouts of unconsciousness near his daughter’s burning pyre on Monday.

Villagers said that the distraught father also attempted to get onto the pyre before he was stopped. He fell to the ground unconscious and was rushed to the hospital.
Bhilwara district authorities denied that the man tried to jump onto the burning pyre.

An official said, “He became very emotional during the funeral and fell to the ground due to the traumatizing events that unfolded in the past week. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition is stable”.
