Ahir: Ahir Regiment In Army, Shri Krishna Board Among Yadavs’ Demands | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Yadav community of Rajasthan has demanded creation of the Ahir Regiment in the Indian Army, setting up of the Shri Krishna board dedicated to the interests of the community under the state government, renaming of New Sanganer Road to Rezang La Marg and declaring public holiday on Rao Tula Ram Saheed Divas (September 23).
The community put forth these demands during the Ahir Janjagriti Sammelan here on Sunday. The meet was attended by Alwar MP Mahant Balaknath, state minister Rajendra Singh Yadav and Param Vir Chakra recipient Yogendra Singh Yadav.
“Haryana government has declared a holiday on the death anniversary of Rao Tula Ramji. So, we demand the Rajasthan government should also do the same. We also want the state and central governments to incorporate a chapter on the history of Rezang La war in the NCERT books and the state board syllabus,” said Bharat Yadav, the organiser.
