Students displayed their creativity at the annual fashion show ‘Poornima Trends 2023’ | Jaipur News

In the presence of eminent personalities from the fashion world, the designer collections of the students were displayed on the ramp through models, which received a lot of appreciation from the audience present. The occasion was the annual fashion show ‘Poornima Trends 2023’ by the Faculty of Design and Arts, Poornima University. The seventh edition of the show exhibited designer wear created by the graduating batch of the university as well as second and third year students.

Students’ collections were displayed in 16 sequences inspired by various elements in the show. One of the sequences conveyed the message of women empowerment by turning women’s pain into their power through cage-shaped designer outfits, while the acceptance of transgender in society was also shown. Models presented the ethnic wear collection of Dabu, Batik, Indigo and other regional prints of national and state award-winning artisans of Rajasthan. Ethnic wears of Awdesh Kumar, Abdul Rahuf, Digambar Prasad Medatwal, Khushi Ram Panday, Laxshmi Chandra Piliya, Naseruddin, Sabir Nilgar and Mohamad Saqib were included in this sequence.
Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari was the chief guest, while designer Manvendra Singh Shekhawat and designer Felix Bendish were the guests of honors of this event. Along with the guests, university’s advisor Renu Singhi, president Dr Suresh Chandra Padhy and co-founder Rahul Singhi were also present. MP Diya Kumari told the students of the design department that whatever they design, they must include elements of Indian culture in their art or craft, so that a glimpse of India can be seen in the designs.
