MLA: Will Contest As Independent From Chittorgarh: Bjp Mla | Jaipur News

Jaipur: After being denied ticket, Chittorgarh BJP MLA Chandrabhan Singh Aakhya has raised banner of revolt against party and decided to contest as an Independent candidate.
He was replaced by Vidyadhar MLA Narpat Singh Rajvi who was dropped from his seat in the first list.
A two-time MLA, Aakhya, met his supporters at his residence and accused state president CP Joshi of conspiring against him in Delhi.
Former Jhotwara MLA Rajpal Singh Shekhawat is continuing to extend support to his supporters on social media, taking rallies and staging protests for reinstating him from the seat. The party on the first list has fielded Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from his seat.
Aakhya, in an emotional speech on Sunday, said, “This is the land of Sheromani Maharana Pratap. This land will not tolerate injustice. Considering the demand of people, I have decided to contest the polls.”
In his protest speeches, he is carefully targeting Joshi while not saying anything against any other leader.
“Joshi has differences with me, and everyone knows it,” said Aakhya while directing his supporters to get ready for the polls. His supporters said that the move to drop the candidate was expected.
In Rajsamand, supporters of three local contenders, Dinesh Badala, Ganesh Paliwal, and Mahendra Kothari, reached the BJP office on Sunday morning and ransacked the BJP office. The election material lying in the office was burnt, and office furniture and glasses were damaged by the protesters. The protest was against Deepti Maheshwari, whose name was finalised by the BJP in the second list to contest from Rajsamand. Protestors said that Deepti is a parachute candidate, and they demand that a local worker be given the ticket; an outsider would not be acceptable, they said. After Deepti was declared the candidate for the Rajsamand seat, several BJP office-bearers tendered their resignations.
