Four arrested for theft of 125kg silver from shop in Rajasthan’s Baran districts | Jaipur News
KOTA: The police on Thursday arrested four thieves for allegedly stealing 125 kilogram of silver from a jeweller‘s shop four days ago in Chipabarod town of Baran district. The police recovered five kilogram of silver and searching for main accused, other members of Padari gang.
Baran SP Kalyan Mal Meena said, proprietor of the jewellery shop Goutam Chand Goyal lodged a report in Chipabarod police station on Sunday and reported that around eight to nine people entered into his shop by cutting its shutters and made away with 125 kilogram of silver and silver ornaments in bags. Goyal added that he had seen the thieves running away from the shop when he woke up at around 3 am on Sunday, he added. A police team led by ASP Jinendra Kumar Jain was formed to trace the accused.
Meena said, involvement of Padari gang with local people surfaced apparently after the police team carried out intensive investigation into the matter with inputs from informers, examining footage of CCTV cameras on around 20-25 kilometre routes and record of entry from MP boarder.
It was learnt the members of Padari Gang with the involvement of local people first carried out recce of location and then set the target, he said.
Meena said the police on Thursday night arrested four locals identified as Tej Singh Gurjar (35), Pramod Soni (47), Pramod Sharma alias Golu (29), all residents of Chipabarod town and Suraj Kharwal (24) of Chabra town of the district.
