Jaipur: BJP leaders on Wednesday blamed the outgoing Ashok Gehlot government for the death of national president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. He was shot by two bike-borne assailants at his residence in Shyam Nagar on Tuesday.
Rajya Sabha MP turned MLA from Sawai Madhopur Kirori Lal Meena accused the Gehlot government of ignoring the deceased’s repeated pleas for security, resulting in his death.
“He was threatened by the organised criminals for a long time, but it was ignored. This is how Gehlot ruled the government in the last five years,” said Meena while talking to reporters in Parliament.
He slammed Gehlot for holding the BJP government responsible for the crime, but in reality, our party has yet to form its own government. “Mr. Gehlot, the BJP government will not allow such brazen acts in the state. You have played with the lives of people, and your term is over,” said Meena.
Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said the incident took place due to collapse of law and order in Rajasthan. “This is the result of five years of hand in glove with the criminals by the Congress government,” said Meghwal.

Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi shot dead in Jaipur
President of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Shyam Nagar, Rajasthan. The incident occurred during the afternoon when four individuals entered a residence and opened fire. Gogamedi’s security personnel and another person were injured in the firing. Gogamedi was taken to a private hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
