BJP complains to EC over Congress registering people for 7 guarantees | Jaipur News

B JP has complained to the state’s chief electoral officer (CEO) for the second time against the Congress party on November 19 alleging the people’s registration through a mobile number for the ‘7 guarantees’ promised by the party was a violation of model code of conduct.
The party demanded the registrations be stopped immediately and sought an action against the Congress party.The office of the CEO has written to the Election commission of India (ECI) regarding the same. On giving a missed call to a number – 8587070707 – a person will receive a message on his mobile phone. The message states, “Congratulations, you have been registered with 7 guarantees given by the Congress party as a part of Rajasthan election – 2023.” It also states that one should save the SMS/registration number. “CEO’s office has written to the Election Commission of India (ECI) in this regard. No action has been taken in this regard,” saidRajendra Singh Shekhawat, member, state election management committee of BJP. Meanwhile, following a complaint by the BJP with the EC, the chief electoral officer, Rajasthan, has directed the Congress to halt the broadcast of a message featuring seven guarantees, voiced by chief minister Ashok Gehlot
