Jaipur: The Bharatpur police took disciplinary action against the station house officer (SHO) of Weir police station after a photograph surfaced on social media depicted the officer in his police uniform alongside a BJP symbol and indicating that he was an assembly ticket aspirant from the Baseri constituency. Officers said that sub-inspector (SI) Prem Singh Bhaskar will also face a departmental probe.
After receiving information, senior officials responded by immediately sending the SHO to the police lines. An investigation conducted in accordance with the code of conduct rules is currently underway to ascertain the details of the incident, according to a senior officer.
