Brace For Jams As Govind Marg Will Be Dug Up For Laying Pipes | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Brace for traffic diversions and congestion on Govind Marg, Jhalana Road, and a section of JLN Marg for 10 to 12 days starting from the penultimate week of April, when the public health and engineering department (PHED) will start excavating Govind Marg for laying pipelines under the Bisalpur II project.
PHED officials said that the laying of pipelines started last month from Royalty Tiraha on Jhalana Bypass. Work has been completed till Satya Sai College in Jawahar Nagar and from there the pipelines would take a left turn towards Govind Marg.
“We should finish this job on April 24, and we should complete the laying of pipelines till Govind Marg in the next three to four days. After that we are going to start excavating Govind Marg from somewhere near the Pink Square Mall till Transport Nagar. The job won’t take more than 10 to 12 days,” a senior PHED engineer said on Tuesday.
PHED engineers assured that before they start excavating Govind Marg, they would repair the stretch between Jhalana Doongri till Satya Sai College so that the diverted traffic does not face problems.
“In the last phase we would come back to OTS crossing. There we will lay pipelines through Sangsthan Path till Royalty Tiraha. We had planned to start the work from here but because of the inauguration programme of Rajasthan International Centre, we did not get the necessary permission. There would not be any major problems at the OTS crossing because of this project,” the engineer assured.
