Brain-Dead Man: Organ Donation: Brain-dead Man Gives New Lease of Life to 4 People | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A day after being declared brain-dead, a 28-year-old resident of Kalgaon village in Tijara of Alwar district on Thursday gave a new lease of life to four people as his family donated his kidneys, liver, and lungs to them.
Five green corridors were created for the first time in the state by the traffic police of Jaipur with the help of Rajasthan State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) to ensure smooth and fast transport of the organs.
One kidney was transplanted into a patient at SMS Hospital, and the other was sent to CK Birla Hospital. The liver was transplanted into a patient at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital while the lungs were sent to Secunderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
A green corridor was created from Jaipur airport to NIMS hospital in the city for the transport of the lungs. Similar green corridors were created from NIMS Hospital to SMS Hospital, CK Birla Hospital and Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital. The donor, Vineet, was admitted to NIMS hospital in Jaipur. “He had fallen down while walking in Alwar on November 14 afternoon. he was referred to NIMS hospitals in a critical state,” said Dr Manish Sharma, a consultant for SOTTO.

The Agarwals, who ran the facility, have already been arrested. The medical centre has been accused of medical negligence and fraudulent practices, including manipulating patient records and falsely claiming that non-doctors were capable of performing surgeries. Julfiqar, who had a clinic and medicine shop without a license, referred patients to the facility for several years and received payments for each referral.
