Bsf Jawans Killed In Congo Cremated With Full Honours | Jaipur News
Jaipur/Jaisalmer: Mortal remains of the two BSF jawans, who were killed on duty while on UN peacekeeping mission at Congo, were consigned to flames at their native villages in Sikar and Barmer districts, respectively, with full honours. A large crowd including government officers, villagers and officers of BSF paid floral tributes and attended the last rites.
Mortal remains of Shishupal Singh Bagadia reached the Balaran police station in Sikar late on Sunday evening. On Monday, with a Tiranga Yatra, it passed through various villages and hamlets to finally reach Bagadia Ka Bas village for the last rites.
Residents of Dholas, Khirwa, Doodhwa and other villages offered flowers to Shishupal. Jhabar Mal, Shishupal’s 85-year-old father, mother Parvati Devi and wife Kamla Devi were inconsolable as the mortal remains reached the village. Kamla Devi, after seeing the remains of her husband shouted ‘Vande Mataram’ and saluted. Her son Prashant consigned the mortal remains to flames.
Sumedhan and Saraswati, MP from Sikar, Govind Singh Dotasara PCC chief and other public representatives also attended the funeral. Similarly, a large number of people at Baand village under Barmer’s Dhorimana tehsil bid a tearful adieu to Sanwala Ram Vishnoi (45).
A wreath laying ceremony was organised at the Barmer BSF campus before the mortal remains were taken for cremation. The village resounded with more than 15,000 villagers shouting ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat mata ki jai’, and ‘Sanwala Ram amar rahe.’.
Rukhmani Devi, wife of Sanwala Ram, was inconsolable. “He always told me that I am wife of a soldier, thus I should always be proud. If needed I will send my sons in the Army to serve the country.”
