Candidates Ease Into Normal Life A Day After Polling | Jaipur News

KOTA: Thoughtful silence prevailed a day after polling on Sunday as the contesting candidates and their supporters stayed at home before offering puja or touring their area, interacting thankfully with voters. With their supporters calculating various data to presume the result, each of the candidates from BJP and Congress claimed their win.
83-year-old Harimohan Sharma, Congress candidate from Bundi and the oldest candidate from any party on 17 assembly seats in Hadouti, left his regular morning walk since the day his name was declared in 4th list of the party on October 31 and channeled his full energy into election campaign touring villages and towns from 8 am to 11pm to 12am with lunch on the way.
Sharma spent Sunday at his home and interacted with his supporters.
“I covered almost every dhani and village in my constituency and presented the government’s welfare policies to the people, who appreciated them and on that basis, I believe me as well as my party will be successful,” Harimohan Sharma said while speaking to TOI at his residence.
The Congress candidate in Kota-North, cabinet minister Shanti Dhariwal (80), was spotted in a relaxed mood at his residence, spending time with his family members before meeting gatherings of party workers who kept coming to his residence on Sunday.
