Cash, Jewellery Of ₹55l Stolen In Raja Park | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Thieves decamped with jewellery worth nearly Rs 50 lakh and cash of Rs 5 lakh from a house at Gurunanakpura locality in Raja Park on Monday morning. The theft took place when the elderly woman living on the ground floor of the three-storey house had gone to a nearby gurudwara for prayers.
According to police, a person named Jasmit Singh reported that on Monday morning at 5am his mother Gurjeet Singh Kaur had gone to the nearby gurudwara while other family members were sleeping in their rooms on the first and second floors.
“The thieves hardly took 10 to 20 minutes to decamp with the cash and jewellery. We are making a list of the items stolen,” Gyan Chand Yadav, deputy commissioner of police (east), told TOI.
Kalicharan Saraf, BJP MLA from Malviya Naga, also rushed to the spot and spoke with the officer in charge of Adarsh Nagar police station and with the DCP.
