Jaipur: Thieves decamped with a computer hard disk containing documents related to the CBI’s probe into the Dara Singh encounter case from the house of an advocate at Bindayaka.
Police said the accused broke into the house of the advocate near Sirsi Road and stole several things besides electronic devices.
“The accused also stole the motor of a washing machine, tablet, water taps and a microwave oven,” the official said.
“The advocate said in the FIR that he used to visit the particular house twice a year,” the official added. Jaipur police claimed that they are trying to find out why thieves particularly targeted a computer hard disk. “The CCTV’s DVR was also stolen by the accused, possibly to eliminate all trails,” the official said.
Police said a case was filed on Monday under the IPC Sections 457 (house trespass), and 380 (theft). “It is too early to conclude if the accused came with planning to steal the hard disk. It also appears that it is a case of theft wherein the thieves tried to grab everything they could,” added another official. TNN
