Cctv: Murder Accused Flees From Jail By Climbing Wall With Cctv Cables | Jaipur News
Kota: A 35-year-old murder accused escaped from Baran district jail by mounting the 20-feet-high boundary wall, secured with electrified fencing, by using underground CCTV cables as rope on Wednesday afternoon.
The escaped under-trial was identified as Janved Sahariya (35), son of Inder Sahariya, a resident of Kelvada police station area of the district.
He was lodged in Baran district jail since February 25 this year on charges of murdering his wife.
Soon after the roll call on Wednesday afternoon, Janved on the pretext of answering nature’s call went to the backyard where, within seconds, he managed to pull out underground CCTV cables, which lay exposed due to a damaged supply pipeline, and used them as rope to climb over the boundary wall, jailor Kishan Chand Meena said.
The boundary wall was fenced with electrified wires and it is likely that the inmate managed to escape through the gap between the wires, Meena added.
On the report by the jail official, the police lodged a case late Wednesday night and efforts are on to trace the escaped inmate, SHO at Baran city police station, Rajesh Khatana said.
