Jaipur: The Jaipur police on Saturday arrested a notorious snatcher, who grabbed a chain from an elderly couple due to which they fell off their scooter and sustained injuries about a fortnight ago in the Adarsh Nagar area of Jaipur.
The police have idenitfied the accused as Mohammad Sajid (22), and also arrested Harun (21) for buying stolen item. The police said that on June 5, an elderly couple was travelling to their home on a scooter when an accused on the bike grabbed the woman’s chain, and as a result, the couple fell off the scooter.
Both had sustained multiple injuries and they filed an FIR at the Adarsh Nagar police station. The police formed a special team and arrested the two accused.
The police said that both the accused were interrogated to ascertain if they were also involved in other similar loots taking in the city.
