City Abuzz With Tourists During Extended Weekend | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: With the long weekend and Independence Day celebrations, the city was full of tourists, with long queues witnessed outside forts and palaces on Sunday.
Almost half a kilometre long queues were seen outside Hawa Mahal, City with over 46,200 people visiting the Hawa Mahal on Sunday. Traffic jams were also reported from different places in the city as Tiranga Yatras were also taken out.
Under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a huge tricolour bike rally was organised under the leadership of member of Parliament Col Rajyavardhan Rathore in Jaipur from Amber Palace till Amar Jawan Jyoti via Jal Mahal, Subhash Chowk, Hawa Mahal, Chaura Rasta, Albert Hall, Birla Mandir, Rambagh Circle.
Tiranga rallies were also organised by both Congress and BJP; another Tiranga rally with a 111-metre-long tricolour was also organised in the city from Jharkhand Temple at Sirsi Road.
Under the leadership of food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and JMC Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar ‘Azadi Gaurav Tricolour Yatra’ was organised on Sunday.
The yatra left from Hatwara Road and ended at Civil Lines passing through ward 43 under JMC Heritage. During the yatra, people showered flowers on the tricolour yatra from the roofs of their homes. During the yatra, hundreds of people participated, ward councillors, ward dignitaries raised slogans of Independence remembering freedom fighters.
