Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday reviewed several undergoing projects in the city and directed the officials to complete them within the given timeline. His first stop was much-awaited Rajasthan Heritage Museum which is coming up at the Old Vidhan Sabha in Jaipur. He inquired about the facilities for tourists in the museum which is considered one of his most ambitious projects.
Principal secretary of art, literature, culture and archeology department Gayatri Rathore informed Gehlot that the museum will have elements of all regions, paintings, sculptures, monuments, art, culture, living, and food from the state.
Gehlot said, “The work of the museum will be historic and will attract tourists from across the globe. It will also create employment opportunities and will create a good image of the state.”
He also visited Shri Govind Devji Temple in Jaipur and offered prayers. He interacted with the devotees and assured them of increasing facilities in the temple. “It has been decided that on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath and Mahakal Mandir of Ujjain, a grand corridor and other development works will be done here. It will also include several facilities for the devotees. The DPR is being prepared and the work will start soon,” said Gehlot.
His next stop was 24-storey construction IPD tower at Sawai Man Singh Hospital. “This tower will play an important role in taking the health services to the next level. It will be completed by October-November,” said Gehlot. His last stop was under-construction Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Governance and Social Sciences at JLN Marg.
