Jaipur: BJP state in-charge Arun Singh on Saturday accused the Congress MLAs of exerting pressure on the family of the victim of the Karauli incident to save the prestige of Congress. Singh paid a visit to the protesting leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena in Karauli. He said, “I have learnt that Congress MLAs and police are working together to suppress the case. They are striking deals with the family. I have told the BJP leaders to continue their protest in Karauli till the victim of the rape and murder will get justice.” He, however, didn’t name any MLAs. Supporting the law-and-order situation in UP, Singh said, “The situation in UP has become so smooth that those involved in crime are getting shot in the foot or being put behind bars. On the contrary, in Rajasthan, the criminals are in connivance with Congress leaders because crime is uncontrolled here.”
