Congress Gave Thousands Of Bighas To Adani, Says Rathore | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Deputy leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, on Monday, called the Congress a ‘hypocrite’ for holding statewide protest against industrialist Gautam Adani while on the other hand handing over a coal procurement tender to the industrialist thereby blatantly violating the procurement act. “Congress gave him the most expensive coal tender which resulted in the most expensive power tariff in the state,” said Rathore. He charged the Congress of diverting funds to AICC earned out of the expensive deals.
Rathore, without naming anyone said, “They gave away 9,000 bighas in Fatehpur in 2019, 25,000 bighas in various parts in 2020, 400 bighas in Jaisalmer district, 38,000 bighas in Mohangarh, 13,000 bighas in Fatehgarh and 75,000 bighas is waiting for cabinet approval to be given away.”
During the debate on Budget, Rathore claimed that CM Ashok Gehlot’s statement of completing 86% of the budgetary announcements is baseless. “On the basis of information received from the field, the government has considered the budgetary announcements which have been initiated or under process as completed to make the misleading claim. I demand CM Gehlot in reply should release a white paper on the announcements to clear the air on the same,” said Rathore.
Claiming that the state Budget was leaked even before it was documented, Rathore said that the budgetary announcement of giving LPG gas for Rs 500 was announced in the public address in Malakheda during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and was a grave violation of rules. “The budgetary announcement is a secret document until it is announced in the assembly. How can the CM announce it in the Bharat Jodo Yatra,” he questioned.
