Congress: In Barmer, Both Bjp And Congress Face Rebellion | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: There is much resentment among ticket hopefuls in both Congress and BJP at being overlooked in the assembly constituencies in Barmer district. Many aspirants from both parties filed their nominations on Saturday and others said they would do so on Monday.
In Sheo constituency, former student union president of Jai Narayan Vyas University, Ravindra Singh Bhati, who recently joined the BJP, announced that he would file nominationas an independent on Monday.His supporters shouted slogans against the BJP at many places including in Jaisalmer.
In Barmer, where the BJP is yet to announce its candidate, the party’s Priyanka Chaudhary filed her nomination as an independent. She went with thousands of supporters to file her nomination. Chaudhary first held a show of strength at Sindhari Circle, from where she took out a rally and reached the collectorate through the main roads of the city. Thousands of people gathered at the rally.
In Siwana, Sunil Parihar, considered close to Ashok Gehlot, on not getting the ticket announced to contest elections as an independent.
Khangar Singh Sodha, who was the BJP candidate in 2018 from Sheo constituency, on not getting the ticket announced to contest elections as an independent.
Former BJL MLA Jalam Singh from Sheo (in 2003) also announced that he would contest the elections as an independent. Releasing a video, he said that the party’s state and central leadership told him that his ticket was final from Sheo constituency and he had started preparations to file nomination when the fourth list came out and his name was not there.
Congress district president in Barmer, Fateh Khan, on not getting the ticket from Sheo, announced to contest elections as indepndent and said he would file nomination on Monday.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has filed his nomination papers from his traditional seat, Patan, for the upcoming assembly polls. Baghel, who has been undefeated in Patan since 1993, shared pictures on social media of his nomination filing and his wife applying a tilak on his forehead before leaving for the nomination. He expressed gratitude for the support and promised to remain dedicated to serving the people of Chhattisgarh. The assembly polls are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 7 and 17.
