State Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra will chair the meeting of the Congress legislature party (CLP) at the party’s state headquarters here at 11am, said a spokesperson.AICC in-charge SS Randhawa will be present at the meeting.
Sources said the meeting is likely to be stormy as former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot said in Tonk on Monday that he would speak his mind on why the party failed to perform as per its expectations and demanded a discussion on it.
The party is also likely to pass a resolution at the meeting authorising party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take a decision on the Congress legislature party (CLP) leader.
BJP returned to power in the state on Sunday, winning 115 seats out of the 199 for which elections were held last week. Congress, which was hoping to buck the trend of alternating government in the state, could manage to win only 69 seats.
Election for the Karanpur seat has been postponed due to the death of the Congress candidate of the constituency. TNN

Congress supporters gathered outside the party office and burst crackers ahead of the Assembly election results for five states. The counting of votes in Chhattisgarh has been completed and officials in adequate numbers have been posted for the purpose in all the 90 assembly constituencies.
