Cop kills hubby with lover in Delhi, hides body in Rajasthan; both held | Jaipur News

ALWAR: The Bharatpur police have arrested a 30-year-old woman and her paramour, both serving as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constables in New Delhi, for the murder of the woman’s husband.

Bharatpur police said that Poonam Jat murdered her husband Sanjay Kumar (31) with the help of her paramour Ram Pratap Gurjar (34) in New Delhi on July 31.
According to police, the accused lured Kumar to New Delhi on the day of the incident. After strangulating him, they transported his body to Bansur area in Alwar and buried it in a vacant land.

Kumar’s family reported him missing and reached out to the Bharatpur police. They raised suspicions about Poonam, considering the marital dispute between the couple.
The police began quizzing Poonam about the case during which she revealed the entire conspiracy she hatched with Gurjar. On Friday, police detained Gurjar from New Delhi. Both were interrogated on Saturday and arrested on Sunday.
Following their interrogation, the two suspects on Sunday led the police to the location where they had buried Kumar’s body.
According to police, Kumar was in contact with his family until 5pm on July 31. During the conversation, he mentioned that he was travelling by metro to meet his wife. However, after 5pm, his phone was switched off, and the family started worrying. They contacted Poonam to inquire about his whereabouts, but she denied any knowledge of him coming to Delhi.
An officer said that the probe suggests that the duo killed Kumar while he was in a moving car. After the murder, Poonam remained in Delhi, while Gurjar transported Kumar’s body to Alwar.
